Your Resume: The First Impression

It includes what makes you a unique and well qualified candidate.  On average an employer will spend six to seven seconds reviewing your resume (Resource: #1).  It is critical that your resume showcases your strengths, is easy to read, and provides skills, education and experience that will get the employer’s attention.

Writing a Professional Resume

Writing a professional resume that showcases your relevant skills, achievements and experience will increase your chances of attracting the attention of employers.  A resume that is relevant, easy to read and presents content in a functional format will increase your chances that a hiring manager or recruiter will spend more time reviewing your resume.  A well written resume grabs the recruiter and hiring manager’s attention and should be no more than 1 to 2 pages.
